I liked the Renji/Chihiro storyline a lot in the anime, so I'm looking forward to that next. Definitely worth the money (I bought a Limited Edition hardcopy at a con). Characters actually interact with the backgrounds, and there are background characters who react to what's going on.

The characters blink, move their mouths, and even walk alongside the protagonist. There are hundreds of CGs and they're all pretty. It was good I guess, but nothing too special.Įf's production values are very special, though. The pacing was a little slow for me though, and since I didn't find Kyousuke or Kei especially compelling characters, I can't say I loved that chapter. You don't usually get to see her actually move on and find love with someone else. You see a lot of heroines who have always secretly loved their male childhood friend, and when he inevitably ends up with another girl, at best you see her make peace with defeat. The "womanizing male friend" and the "unlucky childhood friend" aren't types who usually get to star in their own romance, least of all with each other. In the anime she comes across like a stereotypical clingy jealous girl. I did like that the VN portrayed Kei more sympathetically though. Not a bad thing, just not something I enjoyed as much. (They hang out, they hold hands, they kiss, Hiro questions his relationship with her, then they admit they like each other - etc.) I thought the anime captured the feeling of a "fairytale romance" better, while the VN seemed to be going for something more realistic. They still have good chemistry in the VN of course, and the scene at the beach is still pretty, but their relationship progression is a lot more normal in the VN. That scene at the beach at night is really romantic. When they hook up in the anime it's like they just can't fight their attraction anymore. She was like this mysterious force of nature who showed up whenever Hiro most wanted her to, and he naturally couldn't help but be drawn to her. There was a sort of magic to Hiro and Miyako's encounters in the anime. I liked both the VN and the anime's take on Hiro/Miyako, but I think I prefer the anime's by a slight margin. I've seen the first season of the anime but not the second. I like reading VNs but don't really have anywhere to discuss them, so I thought I'd finally join up. Somehow, Sola then woke up two thousand years in the future and shortly afterwards joined the Sunrider’s crew.Hi, this is my first time posting.

In the decisive battle against Crow Harbor’s fleet, the Sharr’Lac’s ultimate weapon was activated at the supposed cost of Sola’s life, and destroyed everything within a half light year radius. Sola, a child born from the former crown prince’s affair with a peasant girl, was kidnapped and impressed into service on board the Holy Empire’s ultimate weapon, the Sharr’Lac. The assassination sparked a civil war which threatened to destroy the Empire, unless drastic measures were taken. However, her time was one of strife, as her father, the crown prince, assassinated the Infinite Emperor, and placed the blame upon his half brother, Crow Harbor. She comes from a timeline two thousand years prior to the Neutral Rim War, when the Holy Ryuvian Empire stretched across the galaxy and the Infinite Emperor reigned from the star palace as a god.
